Frequently asked questions

Answers about WebW.AI, your published site, and how our generation process works.

About WebW.AI

Can I sign in with Google and email magic link on the same account?

Yes. Your account is tied to your email address, not to which sign-in button you use. Sites, preview drafts, and plan settings stay on the same dashboard whether you use Google Sign-In or a one-time magic link to the same inbox.

If you already signed in one way, signing in the other way with the same email continues the same work — you do not start over with an empty account.

How is WebW.AI different from other website builders?

WebW.AI is built for marketing and brochure sites — the pages that explain who you are, what you offer, and how to reach you. You describe your business in plain language; we generate a polished site from those facts — layout, copy, and structure you can preview, refine, and publish.

We focus on practical, credible sites grounded in what you actually offer — not generic AI filler or impossible promises. Layout, typography, and fast global delivery are handled for you, so you can focus on accurate messaging instead of assembling templates or fixing fantasy copy later.

How do AI credits and the Free fair-use wallet work?

On Starter, Pro, and Pro+SEO, AI site refinement is metered in credits that reset each billing cycle: 30 on Starter, 90 on Pro, and 160 on Pro+SEO. A credit is a WebW usage unit — not a dollar. Each AI-assisted edit consumes credits based on processing volume (token usage); a larger rewrite uses more credits than a small tweak.

Hosted Free does not use monthly credits. Instead, you share one fair-use AI wallet from your first homepage preview through post-publish refinement. That wallet does not reset every month. When it is used up, you can still publish and keep your site, but further AI-assisted edits require a paid plan.

Some actions are free on every plan and do not debit credits or your wallet: swapping registered section layouts, and changing colors, fonts, or surface style from the preview bar without asking AI to rewrite content. Only AI-driven refinement counts against your allowance.

The AI prompts remaining meter on the homepage is separate: it counts coaching questions before your first site is generated, not your monthly refinement credits. If you are on a paid plan and use your monthly credits before the cycle renews, you can buy burst packs for extra credits that expire at the end of the current billing period. Your preview workspace shows remaining wallet balance or credits so you always know where you stand.

Will AI invent services or claims about my business?

No — that is not how we work. We use AI to draft text from the facts you provide — your business name, location, services, and intake answers — not to invent awards, credentials, or services you do not offer.

The first site we generate follows the same rule: copy is grounded in what you told us, with coaching when something important is missing. We believe a trustworthy marketing site is worth more than a flashy one that over-promises.

What do the thumbs up and down buttons on refinement replies do?

They help WebW learn how you prefer to phrase edits — not to train a public chatbot. A thumbs up marks a reply as helpful; when you save and exit the preview or publish, that wording can be added to our internal routing examples so similar requests work faster next time.

A thumbs down tells us the last reply missed the mark. Your very next message gets extra interpretation help for that correction only; after that, routing returns to normal. Thumbs never change your site by themselves — only your follow-up requests do.

Can I undo a change in the preview workspace?

Yes. Above the preview, use Undo and Redo to step through recent edits to your draft — text, colors, layouts, and other preview changes. Undo does not call AI and does not use credits. It only changes your working preview; your live published site stays as it was until you publish again.

Typing “undo” in chat will point you to those buttons. If you removed a video and want that video back specifically, you can also ask to restore the video in chat when that option is still available.

Where do I go to generate a new site?

From the header or dashboard, choose Generate New Site. That opens a focused get-started page with the short intake only — purpose, a few answers, then Build my site — without the homepage marketing sections underneath.

You can still begin from the homepage intake when you scroll from the top. Showcase “Start with this layout” links also open the same focused get-started page with that layout pre-selected.

Can I add new sections like FAQ or a gallery after my site is generated?

On Starter and Pro, yes — in the signed-in preview workspace, ask in chat to add, remove, or reorder homepage sections (for example, an FAQ block or photo gallery). New sections use our registered Golden Layouts; your header menu updates to match.

Hosted Free can refine copy and swap layouts within existing sections, but adding new blocks requires Starter or Pro. Pro also lets you create dedicated Services, Gallery, About, and Contact pages; when you publish on Pro, those pages go live as separate URLs on your site (for example /services and /gallery) with matching navigation.

How do I subscribe to Starter or Pro?

Sign in to webw.ai, then choose Subscribe on the Starter or Pro pricing card on the homepage or under Dashboard → Billing. We send you to our secure Stripe checkout page to enter your card. Checkout is available for United States customers in US dollars today; other regions may follow after compliance review.

After payment, your plan updates automatically — you do not need to contact support. You can publish and refine within your plan limits right away. If you cancel checkout, you can try again anytime from the same buttons.

How do I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my plan?

Signed-in customers manage plans from Dashboard → Billing. Upgrade from Starter to Pro, switch from Pro to Starter, or cancel your paid plan there — you do not open a second checkout while already subscribed.

Plan changes take effect immediately. If you paid for a full month and change or cancel mid-cycle, we refund the unused days left in that period to your card, then (on upgrade or downgrade) start a new billing period on the new plan. Downgrading or canceling may take extra live sites offline (we keep your most recently published site), remove Pro-only page URLs, and pause a connected custom website address until you subscribe again. Offline sites stay in your account so you can republish within your plan’s site limit or upgrade for more.

Where do I see invoices, renewal date, or update my card?

Open Dashboard → Billing after you sign in. You will see your current plan, billing period start, next renewal date, and AI credits for this cycle. Starter and Pro are always summarized on that tab: Starter is $19.99/mo with 1 live site and 30 AI credits/month; Pro is $49.99/mo with up to 3 live sites and 90 AI credits/month. Paid customers can open secure Stripe billing settings to update a card, and browse recent invoices and mid-cycle refunds with links to receipts.

Need help with a charge or refund? Use the Billing help form on the same page — we reply by email. Do not send card numbers in that form; update payment details only in Stripe billing settings.

What happens if my renewal payment fails?

If your card cannot be charged on renewal, we email you on three consecutive days while your paid plan stays active. Update your card from Dashboard → Billing during that window.

If payment still fails after three days, your account moves to Hosted Free: your site stays on your webw.ai address, but a connected custom address pauses until you subscribe again. Resubscribe anytime from the same dashboard.

What is the difference between Starter and Pro?

Starter ($19.99/mo) is built for one business on the web: one live site as a single-page website — one URL with a full premium homepage (hero, services, about, testimonials, contact, and more on one scroll), not separate Services or About pages. You get your own domain, lead capture, AI logo options on first setup, no on-site “AI-built website” badge, and 30 AI refinement credits per month (plus up to two burst packs in a busy month). Contact uses your address as text with a link to open directions in Maps.

Pro ($49.99/mo) adds multi-page depth and capacity: up to three live sites, and on each site you can publish dedicated Services, Gallery, About, and Contact pages in addition to the homepage. The Services page opens with a full banner and a detailed section for each offering (with short summaries on the homepage). After you upgrade to Pro, you can expand those pages from the dashboard and publish when you are ready. Pro also includes an embedded map on contact, no attribution badge, 90 AI credits per month, up to four burst packs per billing cycle, and an AI logo refresh when you rebrand. Pro+SEO ($59.99/mo) is available only when you are on Pro: it adds generated local SEO city pages on top of everything in Pro — not offered on Starter.

Can I use my own website name (like joeplumbing.com)?

Yes — on any paid plan (Starter, Pro, or Pro+SEO). You can publish first on yourname.webw.ai, then connect a name you already own so visitors see joeplumbing.com instead.

WebW.AI does not sell domain names in v1. You register and renew your name (~$12–20 per year for a typical .com) at any provider where you buy website names online. We show you exactly what to copy and paste in their settings, with step-by-step guides for common providers.

Your site will use your name without www (for example, joeplumbing.com) — the same way people type and share links today. If you also set up www, we send those visitors to the same place. While we connect your name, your webw.ai link keeps working.

Need help? Paid plans include support — email us a screenshot of the page you are stuck on and we will tell you what to click. We never ask for your password at the company where you bought your name.

How do fonts work on my published site?

Every published site uses professionally licensed, open-source typefaces that we host on our own infrastructure. We do not load fonts from third-party services when someone visits your page. That keeps load times predictable, respects font creators’ licenses, and avoids sending your visitors’ browsers to external font providers.

You can choose from our curated font pairings or use Your brand to apply your colors and the closest match from our approved library. We cannot embed proprietary fonts (for example, faces that require a separate commercial desktop license) unless they are part of that approved, self-hosted catalog.

Where do the photos on my site come from?

We use trade-appropriate, professionally licensed photography hosted on our own infrastructure — not random stock links pulled from the public web when someone loads your page.

Images are matched to your business type (for example, plumbing, HVAC, or electrical work) and the section they appear in, such as your hero banner or service tiles. In the preview chat, use **Our photos** to try another image from our curated set for that section at no extra cost — even after you upload your own or generate an AI image. You can also upload your own photo from the section controls, or open Site images on your dashboard. On paid plans, you can generate a custom AI image for a section.

If I change my phone, address, or hours in preview, does it update everywhere?

Yes. Contact details you edit in the preview workspace — phone, email, address, and business hours — stay in sync across your homepage contact section, site footer, and dedicated Contact page when you are on Pro.

You can say things like “change phone to (404) 555-0199” or “we are closed on Saturday,” and the preview updates all of those surfaces together before you publish.

Does my site get a logo or icons?

Every site includes professional header branding: three industry-matched icon lockups at no extra cost, plus matching vector icons on contact details and service tiles — all hosted with your page.

On paid plans, we also generate seven AI logo options when your site is first created; you pick the active logo from your dashboard under Site logo. Pro includes one logo refresh (re-roll) per site per billing cycle when you need a new look. You can upload your own PNG or WebP file (up to 512 KB) on any plan.

If your site is already live, save your logo choice in the dashboard, then republish from the preview workspace so the public site updates.

Can I add videos to my published site?

Yes. Hosted Free includes up to three YouTube or Vimeo embeds on a Featured Video or Split Video section. Starter and Pro add ad-free uploads (MP4 or MOV) — up to 10 uploads at 100 MB each on Starter, and up to 25 uploads at 250 MB each on Pro. Uploads are stored on your site’s CDN path when you publish; embeds play from those providers.

When you ask to add video in preview chat, you choose how it should look: Featured Video (one full-width clip), Split Video (video beside your story), or — on Pro — Gallery Video (a multi-clip card grid). Starter and Free see Featured and Split choices; Gallery prompts an upgrade with those two alternatives. Manage media from the Site media tab on your dashboard or from preview chat when a Video section is selected. Before publish, confirm you have permission to show people in any video you upload.

Why are WebW.AI sites fast for visitors around the world?

When you publish, your site is delivered as static HTML and CSS on Cloudflare’s global edge network — not rebuilt on every click. Content is served from locations near your visitors, which supports fast first load on phones and desktops alike.

We keep JavaScript minimal by design: mobile navigation and contact forms only. That reduces overhead and helps your pages stay responsive whether your audience is local or international. Fast, reliable delivery is built in — not an upgrade you have to configure later.

Do you support ecommerce or online stores?

Not today. WebW.AI is focused on marketing and business sites — homepages, services, galleries, and contact flows that help customers learn about you and get in touch.

Shopping carts, checkout, inventory, and payment processing are not part of the product right now. Online store capabilities may be added in a future release. If you need lead capture and a professional brochure site today, WebW.AI is a strong fit; if you need a full storefront, you will want a dedicated ecommerce platform (or a separate integration) alongside your marketing site.

How many sites can I keep in my dashboard, and what happens when I hit my live-site limit?

Your dashboard lists every site you have started after sign-in. Preview drafts stay in the list so you can edit them anytime; AI refinement uses your plan wallet or monthly credits, not a cap on how many drafts you keep.

What your plan limits is how many sites can be live on the web at once: one on Starter, up to three on Pro. If you try to publish a second business while you are already at that limit, we ask you to unpublish a live site from your dashboard or upgrade — we do not silently replace a live site with a different business.

On Starter and Pro, Unpublish takes a live URL offline but keeps the site row and draft so you can edit and publish again when you have a free slot.

Can visitors ask my site questions in a chat?

We are building a fact-grounded site assistant for paid plans: you supply hours, service areas, services, and common answers; visitors get a small chat on your published site that responds from that information — not from made-up AI claims.

That feature is planned after our initial launch. Today, your site includes clear contact paths and professional copy you refine before publish.

Prompts & generation

WebW.AI checks your description before generating a site preview. This keeps costs fair and helps you get a useful result.

What makes a good prompt?

Include:

  • Who — business or person name (e.g. Riverbend Plumbing LLC)
  • What — services, products, or creative focus
  • Where — city, region, or service area
  • Audience (authors/creators) — who the site is for

Thin prompts like “coffee shop in Seattle” will get follow-up questions before we generate a preview.

What is blocked immediately (security)?

We cannot build sites that involve:

  • Illegal activity or fraud
  • Exploitation or hate campaigns
  • Criminal glorification or boastful crime personas
  • Prompt-injection or database commands (e.g. SQL fragments)

You will see a polite refusal with code PROMPT_REJECTED. There is no human review for these.

What triggers human review?

  • You use all five AI prompt attempts without a sufficient description, and you sign in — we may save your request for an admin to approve.
  • Persistent gibberish or non-website requests after AI prompts are exhausted.

Anonymous users who run out of AI prompts must refine their description or sign in to request review.

Follow-up questions (in the box)

If we need more detail, you will see your earlier text and our question inside the same white box above the typing area — not as small text below the button.

  • Your first message stays visible in the conversation.
  • The typing area clears so you can politely add your answer there.
  • Tap Continue — please keep your first message; you do not need to delete or rewrite it.

AI prompt attempts

The homepage shows AI prompts remaining (starting at 5). Each insufficient submit decrements the counter. When it reaches zero, you cannot submit again until you sign in for review or start a new browser session.

This meter is for intake coaching before your first preview — not the same as AI site refinement credits or the Free fair-use wallet.
